Family Pictures

One of our friends took our pictures this year! They turned out sooooo good. We went down to the river bottoms near our house.

I took this picture and blew it up and got it in antique print. I love it. It looks great in my house.

Of course, we had to take some not so serious pictures, because, that's just us!!

I think the pictures of Boe and I and Dan and Kamber turned out very cute. I'm glad we took them that way.

This one of the kids was a fun one, too!
This is the other picture that I put on the wall. Thank you Mike for taking our pictures. We love them!!

Halloween at Harriman

Every year in Island Park at Harriman State Park they put on a Halloween Party for the kids. It was so much fun. We took a tractor-pulled hay ride up to a little village where the kids got to trick-or-treat at all the little houses. On the ride up there are lots of spooky things to scare you.

Of course, on the way up to Island Park we had to stop at Big Jud's and get some yummy food!

When we got there, everyone got in their costumes and got ready to have some fun!

This is our family waiting in line for the hay ride. I decided it would be too cold for the kids to wear their costumes, so I put some fairy wings on Kamber's coat and Boe had a stocking hat with a knife in it.
While we were walking around the village, we ran into this mummy!!! Kamber was a little scared at first, but the mummy was nice and let us take a picture with him.
It was a great time, and we will definately go again next year!!

Hunting

Dan, my brother Shay and my cousin Cameron went hunting the first weekend of deer season. They didn't have any luck! We invited Cameron and Nicole over for dinner when the hunters got home and they brought dessert. They made a cake and brought lots of things for the kids to decorate it with.
If you notice, it is a hunting scene. It is the deer that got away!!
Cameron took the deer home after we ate the cake and told us that if he didn't get anything during deer season, he was going to mount this one on his wall. He didn't get one, so we'll need to go to his apartment and look for this one on the wall!! :)

Flag Football

Boe had so much fun playing flag football this year. He absolutely loved it. It was fun that Dan got to be his coach. He really learned a lot and had a great time.
My cousin Cameron and his wife Nicole came to one of his games. They are so much fun. They even made signs for Boe and for Dan so we could cheer for them. Boe saw the signs in the middle of his game and it really made his day! Thanks Cameron for your hard work! The signs looked great!!

Ginormas Pumpkins!!!

I don't know if ginormas is a word, but that is how Kamber described these pumpkins. Our neighbors grow these huge pumpkins every year and then they have a party to weigh them and give out prizes. This pumpkin weighed over 1000 pounds. Someone even brought a watermelon that was close to 100 pounds. I had never seen anything so big. It was a fun way to get ready for the fall season.

Boe turns 7!!!

I can't believe that my little boy is 7! Time has gone so fast. I love Boe. He is such a good boy. Everyone always tells me how nice he is and how well-behaved. It's true. He really is a good boy. He has lots of energy and so we find many ways for him to use it. He is involved in lots of sports. He played baseball and he is just finishing up his flag football season. I will post pictures soon. He will be starting wrestling again in the next few weeks. He is very athletic and loves to play sports. He also likes to play video games. He is very good at them. He is very sweet with Kamber (most of the time). I love it when my kids play so well together.

We celebrated Boe's birthday the day before his birthday, because we were going to be so busy on his birthday. Dan's sister and her kids came for dinner, then our neighbors came over for cake and ice cream. Boe had a great time.

I didn't get any pictures of the cake. Before I got my camera out, we had already eaten it. Oh well, it wasn't anything special this year. Just the candies that said Happy Birthday. That is what he wanted, and I wasn't going to argue with that!!

Boe is now on a countdown to next year. He knows that it will be a very special year because he will be baptized. I just hope he enjoys this year and that it dosen't go near as fast as the last 7. (for my sake anyways!)

Summer

Okay, so I have been a slacker and haven't posted anything all summer. We really have had a great summer. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have.

The last day of Boe's kindergarten, they did the play Peter Rabbit. Boe was Mr. McGregor and he did a really good job. He had all of his lines memorized, and his teacher kept telling the other kids to speak up as loud as Boe.

This was Boe's kindergarten teacher Mrs. Barzee. She was amazing! Boe learned how to read and became very advanced in math. Now he is in first grade and is doing wonderful because he was so well prepared.

When school got out, we went down to Sarah's house for Lindee's baby blessing. It was a lot of fun getting to see them and Kamber couldn't get enough of Lindee.

After the baby blessing, swimming lessons began. We took them at Green Canyon. It was a lot of fun because we went up there and camped for a week and the kids had swimming lessons twice a day. They really learned a lot when they had them so often. Boe and his cousing Kyle got to be in the same class.

Kamber didn't get to take swimming lessons this year because, as you can see, she broke her arm. So, she got to be the picture girl. She took over 500 pictures that week! Mostly of any random kid she saw in the pool. Also another main subject was her baby cousin Hannah. I think half of them were of her. At least she had fun and wasn't too disappointed that she didn't get to go swimming. We are signed up again for next year, so hopefully nothing happens to prevent her from taking them!

After swimming lessons, Dan's brother Brent and his family came down from Canada for a visit. My kids had a lot of fun swimming and playing with their cousins Savannah and David.

We have done a ton of camping this summer. It has been so much fun. Dan mowed lawns once a week, so we had a lot of time to spend together. This has definatly been my favorite summer since we have been married. I only took pictures of one camping trip, but I wish I would have taken them of all of them. This is Boe and my neice Marrissa hunting for crawdads!

This is my brother Shay all ready with the bucket to put in their catch!

They were all very successful! Even Kamber got brave enough to catch them.

I had never cooked crawdads before, but the kids wanted to eat them. So, I boiled them in a pot like you would crabs and when they got bright red we ate them. The kids and Dan really liked them. They were a little too fishy for me.

While we were up in Island Park we went up to Mesa Falls. It is so pretty up there and we had a great time.

I am sad to see another summer come to an end, but we have made a lot of fun memories. I had my 10 year reunion this summer and it was so much fun to get reconnected with old friends. We also took our kids to Roaring Springs in Boise. What a fun time we had! There were lots of slides that you went down in pairs or in a group of four so our whole family could go.

School has started again and that means I won't see Dan until summer. But that's alright, especially if we can have another summer like this one next year!!!

New Grass, No Teeth

We have been working so hard at getting our lawn in. It has turned out great. The sod is looking good and the sprinkler system works like a dream. We also painted our door and put on shutters. The littlest things make such a big difference!
Boe has lost both of his front teeth. He looks so cute!! Too bad, he didn't loose them at Christmas time!!

Dance, Dance, Dance

Kamber had her dance recital on Saturday. It was very cute. She did two dances. Sunshiny Day, and the Angels Cried. She had a lot of fun getting her hair done, wearing makeup, and getting in her costumes.

Babe Ruth

We have entered a new phase in our lives. It is called Babe Ruth. Boe has had so much fun playing baseball this year. He is playing coach pitch this year. He gets to play first base because he's about the only kid on his team that can catch. He absolutely loves it!

He got to play catcher the other day. He thought that was a lot of fun, too!

Arizona

We had so much fun in Arizona this year. Dan wasn't able to come because of baseball. So, the kids and I were able to fly down. It was so much fun. The kids had never flown before so it was a great adventure for them!

Sarah let us borrow her kids Leapsters. They were a life-saver. Here are the kids in the Idaho Falls airport waiting for their turn to get on the plane.

We made it to Arizona and were able to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The next day the lizards were everywhere. The kids had a lot of fun trying to catch them.

Boe finally caught this lizard, twice. He was holding it the first time by the tail and the tail fell off! But, then he caught it again, even though it was missing it's tail!

After we left Wikieup, we went to Camp Verde. The kids had a lot of fun playing on the playground there. We also got to play miniature golf and they had a clubhouse with pool and kids toys and games.

They also had a swimming pool that we took advantage of. My mom and dad thought we were crazy to be going swimming in the cold. But, since it was snowing when we left Rexburg, seventy degrees felt hot to us!

While we were at Camp Verde, we went to a place called Out of Africa. It was so much fun. We got to go on a safari ride through alot of the animals.

As we were getting on the bus for the safari ride, they gave us each a carrot so we could feed the giraffes. It was amazing to be so close to the animals. The kids though the giraffes breath was very stinky. Now, when someone has bad breath, they say, "You have giraffe breath!!"

The kids really enjoyed looking at all the animals. Most of them were really close so we could see them really good.

They also had a program called Tiger Splash. The people would run around with different toys and try to get the tigers to follow them into the pool. It was amazing to watch them interact with people and to jump into the water.

In the Las Vegas Airport, on the way home, there were really cool sculptures of snakes and lizards and scorpions. The kids thought they were really neat.

When the kids and I got home from Arizona, my Uncle Ron, Aunt Kathy and Destiny were at our house. Uncle Ron was nice and gave all the kids rides on his motorcycle. We had fun visiting with them and with my cousin Cameron and his fiancee Nicole. We all had a great time.
