Mt. Rushmore

My parents are working their way east, so we decided to meet them at Mt. Rushmore and camp with them for the weekend.  We stayed at a really nice campground.  Candie and Brandan and the boys came up for a night, but of course I didn't take any pictures.  We all had a great time.  Here we are at Mt. Rushmore.

We went to the lighting ceremony that night.  It was really cool because they had anybody who served in the military come down for the flag ceremony.  The kids thought it was awesome that Grandpa went down.  Kamber even said that was her favorite part.

We had never been to the lighting ceremony and it was really neat.

McCormick

We had another fun week at McCormick.  It was very fun and relaxing.

The fishing was pretty good.  Boe caught this huge bass.

Kamber found this butterfly that would stay on her.  She thought it was a great pet.

She would even put it on her nose.

My Uncle Bill was there again with his tube.  The kids had a blast on it!

All of my siblings and their families were there except for my sister-in-law Lori.  It was a great time!

Bike Trip

This summer we met up with my parents and and my brother Shay and his family to go ride the bike trails up in Northern Idaho.  We had so much fun.

Here we are on the first day.  We rode 18 miles that day.  Boe and Kamber did great!

The next morning we got up and went the opposite way on the trail.  We rode 20 miles that day.  All of our bums were tired from the day before, so Boe and I switched bikes for a while.  Boe looked pretty good on my pink Lulu bike!

Kamber and Dan rode the tandem that day.

Kamber would take a break once in a while!!

On the third day we rode the Hiawatha trail.  It was very fun.  There were tunnels and tressels that we got to ride.  The tunnel that you can see in this picture is 1.7 miles long!  You can't see the whole way because it is on a slight angle.  It was so much fun.  We all had headlamps on and glowsticks on the back of our bikes so nobody ran into you.

After riding the trails we would go back to our camp.  They had this really cool dock in the middle of the swimming area with a diving board on it.  It was so much fun to go get cooled off after our rides.

We had so much fun on this trip.  If we ever get the chance to do it again, we definately would!

Family Pictures 2010

In between sessions of conference this year, we went up to Cress Creek to get new family pictures. Our friends the Allens came and took them again. Mike always does a great job. I love how they turned out this year with all the fall colors. Thanks Mike!!

Kamber is 6!!

I can't believe my little girl is already 6! She is such a smart little girl. She loves kindergarten and is learing so much. She has tons of friends in her class because she is so sweet to everyone.

She really wanted a rainbow cake. So this is what she ended up with. Not the best cake I've ever made, but she loved it. She put all the hearts on it by herself.

She wanted to go ice skating for her birthday. So the Stokes and Allens and Nate and Cierra came. It was so much fun. I was suprised at how well she did.

Of course, we all fell down a couple of times.

Boe was really good at skating too. It was all so much fun!

The kids were impressed by how well I could skate. I told them I had lots of practice because I used to put on my mom's old skates and skate down our road.

I am so glad that Kamber is in our family. She is such a sweetie!!

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Unfortunately I took mostly video and not many pictures. I haven't taken the time yet to take some still pictures off of the video. We went to Firth on Christmas Eve and had a yummy dinner and the kids got to open their jammies that Grandma Clayson made for them. Then we went home and to bed and got up in the morning and opened presents. Everyone was happy. Then we went into Idaho Falls and went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakel with Shay's family. Then we had dinner with them and played games. It was a great day.

Santa came to the library this year. We went with the Stokes and got to see him.
Boe asked for a guitar. He must have been a good boy because he got one.

Kamber also asked for a guitar. She got one too! We were rocking at our house on Christmas morning.
